Project Notes

Write formatted notes on a project — headings, lists, and photos from the job — and find them again with search.

Notes on a project

Every project has a Notes section for anything worth writing down about the job: measurements, what the customer asked for, access codes, a punch list, what to bring tomorrow.

Notes live with the project, so they are there next to the photos and the costs the next time you open the job — and, with Photo Sync, for everyone else on your team as well.

Write a note

  1. Open a project.
  2. Tap Note in the project's add menu, or New Note from the Notes section.
  3. Give the note a Title and start writing.

Formatting

The formatting toolbar gives you:

  • Bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough
  • Two heading sizes (H1 and H2) and body text
  • Bulleted and numbered lists

Photos in notes

Add photos and videos from the project to a note to show what you are describing. The media stays in the project — the note links to it rather than making a copy.

Open a photo in the project's Media section to see every note it is used in.

Find a note

Search a project's notes by what they say, not only by title. Notes also appear in the project's Activity feed when they are added.

Notes, updates, and status updates

Notes are free-form and written by you. If you want something with a set structure — observations, materials, next steps — or a message to send a customer, use an update instead.
